Protect Kids Online

These are 3 great, free websites to help you monitor and control what your kids see on the net. parentalcontrolbar.org, parentpresent.org, and kidrocket.org.

Free Free Free!
I know there are tons of "free" sites, and many of them have tons of "free" strings attached, but this site is pretty good: http://www.thefreesite.com/. You can research quite a few sites, and you can search for stuff in particular.
Free Legal Help
Try www.thelaw.com for free legal advice before you plop down behind someone's mahogany desk at $500 per hour. It doesn't have everything, but it does cover some general bases and can give you a starting education when you're looking for legal advice.
Car Financing

Before you buy your next car, start out at Clark Howard's site http://clarkhoward.com/ and look into financing. This is your first step towards figuring out how much you can pay. Once you know that, you'll know what you should be driving. Well of course, you know you should be carrying a Chloe bag, wearing Jimmy Choos and driving a foreign convertible. But should in this sense means what you can actually afford at present. Or what you can afford to borrow at any rate.

Try Asscoiated Credit Union

https://www.acuonline.org/home/home.home_index for a really great rate. We got a loan with them on our last car with absolutely no problem at all.

Best interest rates are online
Online banks offer the highest interest rates for savings accounts and are both safe and easy. ING Direct and FNBO Direct (First National Bank of Omaha) are two; check out Clark Howard 's site www.clarkhoward.com for info. FNBO Direct pays 6% until September, so check it out.
Save That Potting Soil!
It's garden season, and we're putting containers together. Potting soil can be expensive, and you should use good stuff so your plants will thrive. For big containers, however, don't fill them all the way with soil. Instead, put empty plastic pots or other material that will help drainage and fill space. This way, the pot will be lighter, easier to move, and you'll save $$ on potting soil!
Drive-thru $$$$
Next time you're at a drive-thru restaurant, look down while you wait for your food/coffee. You may see change down there. Maybe there will be enough to pay for your sales tax; don't be too proud. Money is money! (I REALLY am cheap!)
Free Business Cards
Did you know that http://www.vistaprint.com/ offers business cards for only the cost of shipping? Try it. I did and I love it.
